Apple has flipped the switch and activated Me.com email addresses for some .Mac customers. In other words, if a current .Mac customer has username@mac.com, email sent to username@me.com would be forwarded to their .Mac account. @me.com emails are part of MobileMe, Apple’s upcoming replacement to .Mac. Rumors started surfacing of Virgin Mobile buying Helio recently, and the companies confirmed that today. Virgin Mobile is buying Helio from SK Telecom and Earthlink for $39 million worth of Virgin Mobile USA stock. The deal is set to close in Q3 2008, but Helio customers will mostly not be affected. Sad news BlackBerry fans: the BlackBerry Bold’s launch on AT&T has been delayed until August. AT&T and RIM need more time to deal with overheating and software issues with battery life, according to The Boy Genius Report. The BlackBerry Bold is still on target to launch on Canada’s Rogers Mobile shortly.
